A great opportunity has become available at our Morwell Clinic for a Full Time Veterinary Associate with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, who is enthusiastic and passionate about joining our supportive and experienced team of 4 Vets and 5 Nurses.
The team at Morwell pride themselves on their ability to provide outstanding pet care service and build long term client relationships. They will provide you with all the support you will require when undertaking your duties.
We will support you with 4 weeks’ annual leave and 1 week study leave as well as providing you with the opportunities for Continuing Education both from a professional and personal perspective. We invite you to attend our exclusive annual Greencross Vets Symposium whilst providing you all your other required CE points, free. We also pay for your VIN and AVA memberships.
Morwell is a busy clinic with a large loyal established client base, they are very trusting and receptive to our team, always taking on their advice and to make sure the best outcome is achieved for their pet. Our clinic is equipped with Digital x-ray, Ultrasound, Capnography, Endoscope, In-house laboratory equipment including coagulation profiles.
Morwell is located 2 hours east of the Melbourne CBD in the heart of Gippsland. You will hardly miss the city between Morwell and its neighbouring town of Traralgon, both large rural centres that provide all the conveniences of suburban city life. If you prefer a country style of living, there are many beautiful small towns nearby that give you the opportunity to get away from it all! You can hike a different bush walk every weekend, drive just an hour to visit one of our many gorgeous beaches, ski on the weekends at Mt Baw Baw or go fishing at Port Albert.
The successful candidate must be comfortable with afterhours duties of no more than 1 in 4 weekdays and 1 in 4 weekends. We will do our best to give you a flexible working week.

- An experienced and passionate Vet with at least two years’ experience;
- A client focussed approach and dedicated to providing positive outcomes;
- A ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to build great relationships;
- A demonstrated capacity to work independently at time and make confident well considered decisions;
- Proven ability to work within a team environment.
