Often we associate a trip to the vet as something only required when a pet becomes unwell, however it is also important to remember that twice yearly check-ups are equally important for their wellbeing.

Cats age much faster than we do, approximately one year equalling seven dog years (which varies with breed and age). Regular consultations are strongly recommended to keep your cat’s vaccinations up to date and wherever possible, diagnose and treat all health problems before they become serious.

During the health check, your veterinarian will conduct an:

  • Eye exam
  • Ear exam
  • Dental exam
  • Neurological assessment
  • Abdominal palpation
  • Urogenital evaluation
  • Musculo-skeletal assessment
  • Arthritis and pain management assessment
  • Heart and lung assessment including blood pressure
  • Weight and body condition evaluation
  • Coat and skin evaluation

Healthy Pets Plus Members are encouraged to visit their local Greencross Vets clinic for scheduled and timely check-ups to ensure your cat is always in the best possible shape.

Consultation appointments are made with a Greencross Vet or Nurse and exclude public holidays, after-hours, house call surcharges, behaviour and specialist consultations and procedures.
