The Tree Of Hope

posted: 27/Oct/2016

We’re delighted to be part of this year’s Tree of Hope, a wonderful initiative to help raise funds for animals in need and the organisations that care for them.

This year, The Pet Foundation’s Tree of Hope will run across Greencross Vets, Petbarn and City Farmers stores.

You can purchase a $3, $5 or $10 decoration of joy, love or hope, which can then hang on the Tree of Hope. The ornaments are made up of two pieces – one side is designed to hang on the The Pet Foundation Giving Tree, and the other side is for you to take home and hang on your own Christmas tree. All proceeds from the Tree of Hope will be collected on behalf of the Pet Foundation and distributed to the nominated animal rescue partners.

Some of the organisations The Pet Foundation regularly help include RSPCA, Australian Animal
Protection Society, The Cat Corner Rescue Group, Cat Haven, The Animal Welfare League, Lort Smith Animal Hospital and Bendigo Animal Welfare and Community Services. The Pet Foundation also assists various charity and cases on a needs basis.

The Pet Foundation aims to fulfil its mission through the “Five Rs”

Five R’s Philosophy:

  • Reducing the number of animal euthanized
  • Rescuing animals in crisis
  • Rehabilitating behavioural issues in pets
  • Providing relief by supporting activities which help pets and people
  • Creating responsible pet owners

You can help give pets in need hope this Christmas by visiting your local Greencross Vets and purchasing a decoration.

Show your support today and give them hope.
